Your well-being is my ultimate concern. Since 2000, I have provided patients in Hampshire a wide range of psychological and counseling services to suit their needs. My therapy sessions are designed to strengthen your confidence, and assist you in the healing process.
What is therapy and counselling?
There are times in our lives when we experience situations and emotions that we find difficult. We might not find it easy to talk about them to family and friends. Sometimes, we might not even understand ourselves what is really happening to us and why we act, feel or behave in a certain way.
Therapy and counselling can help us to explore what we are experiencing and to seek an understanding about different aspects of ourselves.
Therapy is not only there to support us when we feel we have a problem. It can also help if we are simply interested in developing more awareness or a better understanding of ourselves.
I provide a confidential and safe environment to enable us to explore the issues that you bring, without judgement, through a warm and compassionate approach.
My practice is underpinned by a strong ethical practise in line with the UKCP code of ethics.
The aim of therapy and counselling is not to tell you what to do or to ‘heal you’. I am here to support you to explore and work through what is troubling you and to develop the awareness about where some of the issues might stem from. This will support you in reaching your own solutions to problems and make your own choices through gaining awareness about what you are experiencing.
The approach is different for each of us and it is very important that we build a relationship based on trust and respect, where you can feel safe and supported to explore whatever aspect you need to bring.
I work with people who bring a range of problems, from relationship difficulties at home or at work, loss and bereavement to anxiety and depression to name a few. I also work with individuals who wish to gain awareness and develop themselves.
